The Ordinariate

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Ordinariate Theology

Do you think Anglicanorum Coetibus is a good idea for Anglicans? What are the problems in implementing the Ordinariate. This is the place to discuss these issues. Please be aware that while some of us may rejoice in the Apostolic Constitution, others may not, and others may have grave reservations. It is a rule that posts must be sensitive to all Anglican parties.

Where can I get a biretta with a blue tuft, a copy of the Anglican breviary, a new aspergillum? Hopefully someone will answer those questions here!

poetreader: open invitation: Anyone that thinks it's too quiet -- say something. Comment on something you've seen or read about, or ask a question. We mods are listening hard. Surely there's a lot to be said about something as precious and complex as our faith. Jul 13, 2014 0:50:13 GMT
jim: Does anyone know what happened to Damian Thomson and his Telegraph Blog? The site has been stuck on the Blair/Thatcher picture for weeks. Reminds me of Fr. Hunwicke's rough time. Aug 14, 2014 1:45:42 GMT
Warwickensis: I believe Damian has left the Telegraph, Jim. :( Aug 14, 2014 17:38:50 GMT
jim: Thank you Jonathan. He seems to be appearing in the Spectator occasionally. Interesting fact, that, since both media are held by the Barclays and the Spectator is conspicuously conservative on both Anglican and Roman fronts. Aug 22, 2014 11:38:31 GMT
jim: I hope that the pithy remarks about the bishops of Bux and Bling will continue... :o Aug 22, 2014 11:39:55 GMT

AFS1970: Just realized that my last post was replying to a thread that was several years old. I should pay more attention to dates. Jan 10, 2015 14:01:08 GMT
poetreader: We've been slow enough in here that all comments are welcome, even those attached to old posts. Besides, you and John Bramhall had interesting things to say on the subject. Thank you for doing so. Jan 12, 2015 2:57:25 GMT
AFS1970: Very quiet in here, can't think of much else to say tonight Apr 20, 2015 4:32:14 GMT
Fr. Bill: Oh my. Came by to see how the Supremes on Gays was going down around here. Last shout-out was over 2 months ago, and the last thread update was almost three weeks ago! Did I miss the Anglican Rapture??? Jun 27, 2015 21:17:02 GMT
poetreader: Yes, it has been slow in here. Not many participating currently. Perhaps if someone other than the 3 or 4 of us would start a thread it would get something started. <<hint, hint>> Jun 28, 2015 22:13:23 GMT
s1n4m1n: Let's get the ball rolling, everyone make a commitment to come here once a day and post at least once. Sept 26, 2015 2:52:52 GMT
Warwickensis: Sounds like a plan! Sept 28, 2015 17:26:23 GMT
AFS1970: Planning another trip and this time there is a continuing parish right down the street from the hotel. So either my travel planning is getting better or the church is growing...or both. Oct 15, 2015 22:45:01 GMT
AFS1970: Glad to see a new member posting Aug 7, 2016 0:32:52 GMT
wcc711: I entered the Episcopal church 40 years ago, because when I rededicated my life to Christ, I wanted a church that was like the Church as it was in the first 150 years. The 39 articles convinced me that I was making the right decision. Sept 2, 2016 12:46:20 GMT
wcc711: Neither the Church of Rome nor the Eastern Church can pass that test I chose Anglicanism because it was closest to the worship of the Church during the first 150 years. Of course that was before the doctrine of "Adam and Steve". Sept 2, 2016 12:50:01 GMT
wcc711: Thank God for the African Church Fathers who offered our orthodox believers a refuge. Sept 2, 2016 12:51:31 GMT
Warwickensis: Still here! Mar 21, 2017 18:37:59 GMT
AFS1970: Also still here Mar 22, 2017 21:19:04 GMT
